New Year brings changes

Happy New Year!As many of you already know, I am no longer teaching computer, digital photography, & digital imaging classes at the Foxboro Senior Center.For those students interested in continuing digital photography classes, I am now holding them @ the Boyden Library. Also, please call this number if you are unable to attend a class. Remember, we have a waiting list for most classes. When you let me know that you can't attend, another student has an opportunity to attend the class.

Taking Macro Photos

Jan 15, 2009 11 AM - 1 PM

Senior students: $5 for a two-hour class

Non-senior students: $10 for a two-hour class

Digital camera

Fully charged battery (or two)

Camera manual

A tripod (optional) I will bring my floor and table tripods for those students who don't have one.

White Balance

You may notice at times a color cast of red, blue, or even green on your photos. While most digital cameras have an auto white balance, not all of them work well. So you may have to set your camera's white balance to take into account different light sources. This setting needs to be changed each time you move from one light source to another (from outside to florescent lights, for example). The chart below will help you make your choices under different lighting.
